WHAT MAKES A MASTER MODEL BUILDER? THE FINAL PART!

Last week we introduced you to David, a Master Model Builder who turned his hobby into a career!  This week, we continue our inside look at the personal journey of each of our Master Model Builders, in their own words.

Meet Rodger!

I began my career in LEGOLAND California Resort as a seasonal janitor in 2009. Shortly after, I began to lend a hand in the Model Shop during the busy season.  I started on very small builds gluing together business card holders, doing “brick stock” which is our way of taking inventory of LEGO supply and I assisted with packing and shipping.  After about a month I was offered a permanent position. During that time I learned how to be more efficient when building. I missed guest interaction and playing a role in creating a memorable experience so I moved to Florida for the opening of the new theme park in 2011.  I really enjoy the maintenance side of building and keeping the models looking their best for our guests.
